The Alibi
The Alibi
Hailing from Dartford, The Alibi take inspiration from their bleak surroundings and write about what they describe as a black and white town under a sky of colours. A place that influences the industrial soundprint of their core sound, they write about what they see. Political observations, justice, the current social unrest - they create songs that matter about life as they see it and play them with passion and force....

... The Alibi are the exact dose of what the British music scene desperately needs right now.

This 3 piece rock band, came together in their local and in college, united by the mutual need to stand out... The band comprises of Harry Love (lead vocal and guitar), Elliot Frampton (Drums), Eddie Lovell (Lead Guitar).

Having learned how to play drums with pencils on the family sofa or pretending to be Angus Young they have refined their craft and now fill the room with attitude and full bodied rock songs that by far surpass the ability of their collective years - each barely just 19 years of age.

Having supported We Are Scientist and playing to a sold out crowd at KOKO and a familiar band face in Camden, there is no gig they can’t fill with their heavy drums and electric live performances.

With aspirations to play Wembley, Madison Square Gardens and another packed out KoKo - and generally follow in the hallowed footsteps of bands that have inspired them, such as The Beatles, Nirvana, Hendrix

Dariush Kanani
Dariush Kanani
“Beautiful clean guitar tones with intricate arrangements and a magical voice are the powerful ingredients for Dariush’s music ... I’m jealous!!!” - Stefan Grossman.

Dariush’s powerhouse, percussive, ba ck slap' guitar technique and solid grooves are reminiscent of a young John Martyn. Coupled with an ethereal voice that evokes shades of John Mayer, Paul Simon, James Taylor and Michael Jackson, his sound is deeply soulful. A consummate musician, his songs skilfully combine pop, folk, soul and jazz into a style that is truly his own.

Dariush has studied guitar with fingerpicking guitar virtuosos, Stefan Gross-man and John Renbourn and supported Grossman by his request on his sell out tour of the UK last year. He has also played frequently alongside British guitar legend, Wizz Jones and will appear at a special tribute concert for the late John Renbourn this September at Cecil Sharp House in London along-side Jacqui McShee, Ralph McTell, Bernard Butler,Graham Coxan and more.

In 2015 Dariush was invited by Wizz Jones to play alongside him at The

Good Life Experience festival in a musical tribute to the late, great John Renbourn. The festival was founded and hosted by BBC presenter/musician, Cerys Matthews
